Oh, That Dandy Andy (Warhola)

A little sketch from this afternoon. Why a portrait of Warhol? I don't know, but here's the process; I was looking at a baseball encyclopedia and kind of feeling nostalgic. I saw a picture of Sandy Koufax(who WAS dandy) pitching against a batter that looked like Dick Groat. Aside from the Cardinals, Dick Groat played shortstop for the Pirates, who are from Pittsburgh... as is Warhol... whose first name is Andy, which rhymes with Sandy. See? perfectly logical.

P.S. Larry David came up with a fake malady for his show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" which he called "Groat's Disease," and then wondered aloud if it had been named after Dick Groat. You know, like Lou Gerhig had Gerhig's Disease. The Universe is a vast web, all connected... what more proof do you need?
